In case you thought I was exaggerating

about the amount of Kool-Aid in the Knitnik household, as referenced in the last post, I thought I would share this with you.

I also counted, and nearly hit the floor. There are 200 (yes, exactly, and isn’t that strange?) packs of Kool-Aid, Wylers, and Flavor-Aid in my house, as well as 15 packs of Aguas Frescas sent by the Queen. This is all funnier than you think, since the only thing we drink around here is sugar-free Kool-Aid. There’s a different section of the pantry for that, though it’s not nearly as stocked as the dyeing stash. The boatloads of tropical punch (anyone for red?) are from 2 full boxes I bought when a store was clearing them out – 75 packs for $2.99, I think. Who could resist? And at the time, we drank sugared Kool-Aid, so it didn’t seem odd. I got rid of some at Christmas, when I sent it with the Queen’s Christmas gifts, so she reciprocated and sent me a box the other day with Switchin’ Secret, Blastin’ Berry Cherry, and the aforementioned Aguas Frescas. Just remember, Queenie, revenge is sweet. Or maybe it requires a cup of sugar and 2 quarts of water. Whatever.
